Scope Of This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how BoatLens handles information when you use the website, analyzer, calculators, boat profiles, guides, feedback form, and request-a-boat form.
BoatLens does not currently offer user accounts, payments, checkout, or subscriptions.
Information You Submit
If you submit site feedback, BoatLens receives the rating you select, any optional comment you provide, the inquiry type, and the page context.
If you request a boat to be added or reviewed, BoatLens receives the brand, model, optional year, optional notes, and page context.
If you submit the BoatLens feedback form, BoatLens receives the information contained in your submission, including any details you choose to provide.
Analyzer And Calculator Inputs
Analyzer and calculator inputs are used to calculate BoatLens results such as fit scores, risk labels, buyer-action labels, fuel estimates, ownership-cost ranges, financing estimates, depreciation estimates, market-pricing observations, and inspection or seller-question prompts.
BoatLens does not intentionally save complete analyzer or calculator submissions as form records. Limited usage information, such as the type of tool used, boat category, general result labels, and page context, may be included in analytics where enabled.
Analytics And User Behavior Tracking
BoatLens may use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand page visits, feature use, navigation, and general interaction patterns.
These services may process information such as device and browser details, approximate location, IP address, pages viewed, interactions, and analytics identifiers. BoatLens does not use these tools to intentionally collect sensitive information entered into free-text fields.
Cookies And Browser Storage
BoatLens itself does not currently use cookies for user accounts or saved sessions.
Analytics or advertising providers may set cookies or use browser identifiers when their services are enabled. You can limit cookies through your browser settings or privacy tools.
Advertising Cookies And Partners
BoatLens may display advertising in the future. If advertising is enabled, third-party advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers, browsing information, and ad-interaction data to deliver and measure ads, subject to user settings and applicable law.
Forms And Service Providers
BoatLens uses service providers for hosting, database services, analytics, email delivery, and website operations. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
Feedback and boat-request submissions are sent through BoatLens systems and may be delivered by email or stored for review.
